Online or classroom instruction

We provide the Province of Alberta Class 5 GDL Driver Education course required 15 hours of non driving instruction in the following formats: - online learning - self learning, or - in person classroom learning instructor lead (limited availability)

In person driving instruction

Conforming to the Province of Alberta Class 5 GDL Curriculum standards, students wanting to meet the Province of Alberta's Class 5 GDL course will be required to complete 10 hours of in car, in person instructor lead driving sessions. Students can pick available timeslots to meet their schedules.  We recommend students book 2 - 3 hour driving sessions to allow us to maximize each driving session.

About the course

This course meets the standard Province of Alberta Class 5 GDL guidelines. The first portion of this course is comprised of 15 hours of classroom (online or in person sessions available) instruction.  Students will be required to complete a 30-question multiple choice exam at the end of the online content. Students must receive a passing grade of 80% (24 out of 30) or greater to be considered a pass. The second portion of this course is comprised of 10 hours of in person driving instruction. Students are encouraged to book 2-3 hour in person instructor lead driving sessions. By doing so, this will allow instructors and students to receive the maximum benefit of each driving session.
